Is it normal that i broke up with my boyfriend because he won't give me anal?

I've only had sex with three guys. I've been in a relationship with all of them.

My second boyfriend and I got a little tipsy one night and got in the mood together. When it came down to it, he didn't have a condom. My policy is "no glove, no love", so we were both high and dry (or horny and wet) when he suggested anal. I thought I would NEVER do anal, but I was a little drunk so we did it and I loved it. It kind of became my guilty pleasure.

This last boyfriend was someone I thought was really special. I waited to have sex with him for a while longer than the other two. Finally after four months of being with him, on his birthday, we had sex. Normal, but great, missionary sex. And then after like an hour he asked me and I gave him oral. We had sex pretty regularly after that. Two months later on my birthday, I begged him in the heat of the moment to fuck me in the ass. He looked at me incredulously and said no like I just asked if I could fuck him in the ass. I was taken aback. Apparently we never talked about it.

I was like "Okay," and I pushed him off me, I wasn't in the mood anymore.
Then he said "What the fuck?"
I said, "Don't be an asshole about this."
He said, "I don't do that, it's disgusting."
I said, "Well, sorry, it's my fucking birthday and I happen to like it."
Then he called me a slut or nasty or something like that and I told him to get the fuck out of my apartment. And that's how we broke up?
