Is it normal that i am totally diffrent on the inside than the outside?

Ok, well in school i am in the "clique" of being weird and crazy in a good way. but whenever i talk to my friends, i sometimes let my guard down, and i talk about deep things, and nature and i feel very artistic, but inside i also feel kinda emo and goth, but if you met me you would not think that at all, so is it normal to feel like you need to put up a guard to your true feelings?

Of course you're different. The outside is all pretty skin and eyes and things, and the inside is all guts and stuff

After transfering to a different high school, I got tired of the act. It's draining and hides the real you.Why are you afraid to show people hoe intelligent you are?Depth is aquired through matrurity, so feel proud about yourself.

OMG I'm like that to!! I Act Random and silly, naive and dumb but sit down with me -someone i'm completely comfertable with- And I'm completely differant, I could go on forever about politics, meaning of life, los illuminate, you name it. I'm actually an intellegent intellectual who's insecure, and concerned about the many problems in todays age, But put me infront of someone I'm NOT comfertable with and I Can't control it! It automaticly comes out, all high pitched an squeeky, Saying retarded shit that makes people laugh, but people love me for it! As long as you don't let it BECOME you, and know who you are, You'll grow out of it slowly but surely :D best of luck. Ps. What's your zodiac? I'm a taurus! -They tend to show those kinds of traits.

Of course it's normal! :) I dress and look like one of the popular people but it's not who I am. Fortunately though my school doesn't have severe cliques so I'm free to talk to whoever I want, so I can be myself because I am NOT a popular person on the inside. I'm awkward and I flail over things I shouldn't and I get way too invested in TV shows :P

  • I am kind of the same but with me i would say my little story is abit more serious lol.
If you are a good enough illusionist then you can get away with anything.
Who i am really isnt who everyone sees lol
Tbh the i only talk about myself and act the way i really am to people online because they cant do anything about it but yeah who i am really and who people see me as are two different types of people.
Kind of like that show dexter im not saying im a killer or atall like dexter but the way everyone doesnt know the seriousness of who he really is that is pretty much me lol

having conflicting feelings is incredibly abnormal and peculiar at your age.

in your teens years, you should be going through an overload of hormones - chemicals which are commonly known to increase rational thinking, reduce sex drive, and clear up bad skin. if you are experiencing the opposite of these symptoms, there is something severely wrong with you. i suggest you consult your diary.

I think everyone has different versions of themselves (: At school guarding a side of yourself may be a way of protecting yourself from rejection or mockery. It think you may change at uni (that is if you choose to go).

You're in middle school. Of course it's normal. Things get better after high school.

Um, first off a "clique" is a group of friends or people, not the center of something.

But besides that, I'd say that it's normal to some extent. But in your case it sounds a little extreme. Why not be weird and deep? I don't see why you have to hide part of yourself from your friends. And, besides, if they really were your friends then shouldn't they already know everything about you?
