Is it normal that i always have constant thought on the oil company conspiracy?

I know people do think or atleast wonder about conspiracy theories but I feel as if I'm weak or have no choice but to just accept these theories knowing I can do nothing about it? Some days I would feel happy and the sudden thought huge oil corporations work with our government to suppress any new innovation that would change the economic foundations and foothold of oil companies in our market? A great example would be "Who Killed the Electric Car?" and the Fischer Tropsce process that creates synthetic fuel since WW2 but only is currently being used in one country in Africa,, or even the banning of very efficient vehicles to the open population in the US due to ludicrous policies from GM like the banning of the Hummer H3 (100 mpg (ish) hummer hybrid) or not allowing Tesla's to sell its products directly to the consumers in the US..

I'm 18 and a sophomore in college and feel powerless, anxious, and scared about this ideal...Is this normal? I would try to do something but I'm a biology major and not a chemical engineer or mechanical engineer or even any engineer..

please help :,(

    You've got it exactly right.
Welcome to the modern world, where money supersedes EVERYTHING else, including our right to breathe clean air, drink clean water and live in a world turned into a cesspool, by it's inhabitants.
