Is it normal that i always feel like the ugly duckling around my friends?

This one night I was at a party, everyone was drunk and I know this is stupid but this one boy was listing off all the "hot" girls and I swear he named everyone of my friends but not me. I know that this was not directed at me personally and he was just being stupid but its the comments that aren't aimed at you that really hurt, the ones you just happen to hear. Now I cant help but always feel like the ugly duckling of the bunch.

Yes its normal. Some girls are just "better looking" just like some cars just look better but doesn't make them the best. Personally I'm a "plain jane" type of guy trophy girls don't interest me in the slightest. Lol

I also feel like that but it doesn't really bother me. If it makes you feel any better here's a true story that you may relate to in a few years:

Once upon a time, I was a nerd with hot friends in high school. Everyone was picking up or flirting with guys and I tried it out but all the guys had better looking girls to pick from, I am extremely average looking so I understand why, so I sat on the sidelines.
After I graduated, all of my hot friends went off to University. Here I am, a year later, and my friends are back from University. But they're all 10-20 pounds heavier. I've lost 30 pounds since graduation and I haven't even tried to lose weight, and a lot of guys that I thought were always out of my reach in high school are the ones trying to pick me up at parties and flirting with me now.

Basically; high school is a place where shallow-ness and aesthetics are used to manipulate hormonal teenagers. It' like a big science experiment. You may be an extremely attractive, very likeable girl, but if there's a girl who has bigger breasts and dresses nicer, you know who's going to get the attention. The good part about high school is that people like you are the girls who become desirable once everyone grows the fuck up and graduates. Then, you'll just show up to a party as usual and suddenly all the guys are looking at you like they've never seen you before, and they want to talk to you.

It's really strange, but it happens. Hold your head up, your beautiful, and a shallow list of "hot girl" listed off by a drunk guy isn't going to change that.

I've never felt like that, but i'm sure it's normal. Maybe you should find uglier friends?

There are plenty of boys that would also choose you over your friends. The world would not circulate if we all likes the same type of people, However it mustr have broke your heart when you heard this and that you were big time jealous, that is only natural. Listen to christina aguliera's song "you are beautiful" xx

Lets just say some girls interest a certain part of my body more than the rest but everything else is not very interested at all i dont want a girl friend that dont know what 2+2 is no matter how pretty she might look ( even if i often find it more ugly than pretty with all that make up and trashy clothes )

I've felt like that . Well , with ONE of my friends.. I feel like she's way more prettier than I am.. Also she's a year older though so she got to wear makeup an more stuff like that. But I'm over it and think were equally beautiful . (: but yes it's normal .
