Is it normal that holding it in really freaks me out??

I am f, in a wheelchair & have a not-so-slight problem w/ my er, plumbing. When I have to go it's always like Niagara Falls, I never feel finished, I've asked whether other people get like this but they told me they didn't.
so, rather stupidly I made an appt w/ Dr. Google. Pages came up re “holding it in (both #1 & #2)

I can't get my head round why someone could do that, / would *even want to * It really freaked me out, to the point I cried. If I don't go for 1hr I can't see straight, I'm as stiff as Stonehenge on Viagra, I feel sick, struggle to eat, talk, breathe – I nearly ended up having a seizure once so I am hoping to have things re-routed eventually.

I can only assume you mean holding in urine.

You seem to have had a rather anxiety ridden episode over the idea of "holding it in".

Holding in urine for as long as possible invariably ends with losing the battle with a full bladder.

To be frank - pissing yourself either uncontrollably or "leaking".

While unpleasant, not really exceptionally dangerous - ones body is not built to hold in urine until ones bladder bursts - it is almost impossible without something horribly wrong.

As to why you may not be fully emptying your bladder (or feeling that way) I would recommend speaking to your physician. 9/10 it is no big deal at all. Being female - I can exclude prostate issues.

PM me should you have concerns or questions.
