I have a friend who has been trying to date me since I first met him. I made it clear I did not want to be anything more than friends from the very start. A few days ago he hooked me up with a friend of his. We really hit it off. But even after he got me and his friend together, he is STILL trying to date me. Why would someone who wants to date you even introduce you to someone else? Is that normal?

    I've seen girls do this before. If he can't have you he probably feels he can have a vicarious relationship with you through his friend. If he and his friend are close he will likey be privy to details about you that he wouldn't otherwise be aware of.

    I think he badly wants to date you. Hooking you up with someone eles may be is a plan to get your attention.

    Actually it's not unusual.

    I've known guys who've seen girls they wanted to sleep with but couldn't - either because they were already married or because the girl didn't want them. So they would try to hook their buddies up with her instead.
