Is it normal that he's extremely self conscious about his penis?

My boyfriend's penis is about 6.5 inches when erect, which is above average (which I believe to be 5 inches), but he constantly thinks it's small/isn't good enough. I always, always, always reassure him that the size of his penis is perfect, as "monster cocks" have never had any appeal to me anyways. But, alas, he just will not believe me!

Is this normal? Do all or a lot of guys feel THIS self conscious about their penises? He constantly tells me that I'm lying to him and I probably wish he had a huge penis, but I really don't. I love his penis and everything about it and I constantly remind him of it. I just wish he would believe me that not every woman fantasizes about her man having a 12-incher. Do you guys have any advice as to how I could get him to be a little more confident about his size? I just wish he would understand that his penis is not small at all! :/

I think your BF has been watching way too much porn... where it's rare for a penis to be less than 8".

    • I think so too! Haha, I mean I don't look a thing like those girls, but I don't ever let it get me down. Maybe I should constantly remind him that porn actors are just that, actors.

    "monster cocks" ahaha.

If he's been told his penis was small in the past he's probably just insecure about it, which is normal. Just don't let it be about his size anymore, he keeps focusing on it so of course it's going to make him more insecure. When it comes to sex just compliment him, don't say anything about his size just tell him everything you like about it.

    • Thank you :) I normally do that during sex. So, do you recommend that I say nothing in relation to his size when he complains about it?

For example, if he says, "I think my dick is small..."

Should I just say, "it makes me feel good," (trying to keep it pg lol) or something along the lines of that, instead of, "no it isn't!"?

Yeah, lol I feel weird saying this stuff so just don't imagine I'm saying it. Go along those lines, and then perform a sexual act on him and moan and keep up the compliments after sex, like "that was amazing" etc. you could give his member a nickname, act really turned on every time it's out, really get into the sex and foreplay, be sexy!

Guys are often self conscious about the size of their cocks, normal.

Tell him it's not the size of his tool that pleases you, but the skill of the craftsman wielding it.

    • I try that approach frequently! Sometimes he believes it, other times he doesn't :p

You mean, a guy is born into our "the bigger, the better", penis obsessed culture and becomes self-conscious?

    I'm shocked.

And I don't know how to fix it, either.

I may be way off here but is he somewhat sexually inexperienced? I wouldn't guess a guy who's been around to feel so visibly insecure about his peen.

    • No, actually! He has had many different partners and knows exactly what he's doing in the bedroom. I just think he believes in the notion that you have to have a gigantic penis to please your partner.
