Is it normal that gay people piss me of

Okay so there are all these gays in my state that want the right to gay marriage because we are denying them a right that others have. Well to me I just think that that is bull. No one I mean NO ONE can have a same sex marriage in my state. there aren't some people that can and some people that cant have a same sex marriage, NO ONE can. It is kind of like murder. It is illegal for people that wants to kill someone and it is still illegal for people who don't want to kill someone. So they have the same rights as everyone else they just want something else. Does anyone think I am crazy?

Sorry, are you comparing homosexuals to murderers?

I thought their analogy was hilariously terrible.

I don't hate gay people and they can do whatever they want but it just annoys me when they make you feel guilty because you are "Withholding their Rights"

That makes no sense, and you know that. Go educate yourself before forming such a rock solid opinion.

When there is no gay marriage it is de facto discrimination, because in practice only gay people are affected by it. No matter how you choose to frame it, you can't get away from that fact.

Besides, allowing gay marriage wouldn't give gay people "something extra" since straight people would be allowed to get gay married too :P It's the exact same principle which you think is perfectly fine for straight marriage.

Btw: no, it's not normal. These are very easy points to understand, and I think you're being intellectually dishonest if you claim not to understand them.

Aww but everyone likes rainbows. You would totally stick your dick and/or fist in the pot of gold at the end.

  • That's a pretty weird example, but I agree with you.. Sort of. Gays (and lesbians, not just gay guys) piss me off for other reasons. You get decent ones who act like normal human beings, and then you get those gay guys calling every female they see "doll" or "girlfriend" and its irritating. I get uncomfortable and awkward around a gay guy who talks to me as if I'm automatically his friend just because I'm an actual female, and he wishes he was one. Another reason I feel uncomfortable around gay guys is because some of them feel the need to talk and act overly sexual, just to show how comfortable they are with their sexualitly and hey, there's nothing wrong with being confident but I think its disrespectful and kind of grose airing your sexual laundry infront of everyone just to prove how loud and proud you are. Secondly, lesbians irritate me because every single one I've met (yes, every last one) has either assumed I'm a lesbian, or assumed I can be converted into one. They're just like the christians, its their way or the high way and its annoying. As far as them marrying the same gender goes, I couldn't care less. Rather a commited gay or lesbian than an overly promiscuous one. Those are the ones who really chap my ass.

    • "Just because im an actual femal, and he wises he was one." Wtf thats transgenders not gays. Just because a guy likes other guys doesn't mean he wishes he was a girl every gay guy I know loves being a man. And as for lesbians assuming you're you're one or trying to "convert" you perhaps you give off dyke vibes :) I live in San Fran the gay capital and people rarely assume im lesbian.

I totally agree with you. Its not all gays/lesbians but there are those ones you just want to hit upside the head.

  • Or maybe all lesbians are just THAT desperate for other women to be as backwards as they are :) the ones who are foward about their twisted version of sexuality piss me off, end of story. They should be allowed to marry who they want but don't start shoving it in everyones faces how proud you are to be gay, around a bunch of straight people. I don't walk into churches yelling "I'm an atheist!" at the top of my voice, because that would make me an annoying human being, just like gays who want the whole world to know they're gay. Gross.

You have just creating a psuedo-legal status of "gay-married" in your own head. Homosexuals want to get married just like heterosexuals. That is the right that is being taken. If people seem "whiny" to you for fighting for their rights, it is because being denied the right to participate in society due to factors germane only to the person's genetics or beliefs is makes them less accepted in society in general and freezes them out of full social acceptance and participation. Mormons, African-Americans, homosexuals, women and many other groups have taken a stand against this type of bigotry, and the recognition of this principle in society at large is the basis for our firm national beliefs in civil rights.

This post means you don't understand that homosexuals want to be married in the exact way heterosexuals do. They don't want to be separately "gay married" in a Jim Crow analogue you've just created. In a modern society, rights should be doled out equally. This lack of discrimination creates the increased fairness that allows people outside the powerful social spheres of American culture - groups like homosexuals and Mormons, for instance, to be a part of society no matter what prejudices the majority wishes to invoke against them. So if you find homosexuals "whiny", its because they are fighting for the same rights as Mormons, African-Americans, women and all sorts of minorities that do not wish to be oppressed by those in power.

They do not have the same right as everyone else. They do not have the right to marry someone of their choosing. And this is so much more than wanting what someone else has. Married couples have privileges unmarried couples do not, financial, medical, insurance, etc. If their partner is suffering in the hospital, on their death bed, because they are not married, they can be denied hospital visitation and having a say in their partner's medical care.

Your logic sort of makes sense, but legal precedent is not on your side. Laws against interracial marriage were still considered discriminatory even though both Blacks and Whites were prohibited from marrying outside their race.

That's not how you eat cupcakes, OP. You're supposed to put them in your mouth, not your ears and eyes. Nothing can be digested properly doing it your way.
