Is it normal that french fries sometimes taste like oysters?

Every once in a while fast food French fries have a slight different taste that reminds me of oysters. They don't taste bad but it's different. Is it normal?

    Then you are eating in places that don't change the frying oil often enough. yuck

      most places what fry lotsa seafood uses two fryers one for seafood one for everythin else
