Is it normal that feeling negative emotions puts me in a bad mood

If I watch a film or listen to music that makes me cry, or brings other negative emotions, it puts me in a bad mood. Is this normal?
Even if I cry for beauty - my mind is fooled into thinking something is really wrong and I feel very down for some time. Maybe it is strong negative affect?

Everything you absorb is going to affect in some way or another. If I listen to downcast music I'm gonna be in a more solemn.

Probably better to leave the sad stuff for when you're actually sad so at least you got company.

I don't understand the question... Are you supposed to feel good when your feeling bad?

There's one song that if I listen to it I'll be in a mopey self pitying depressive state for the afternoon, and I know of one other person who probably feels the same way and knows what song it is
