Is it normal that eyes in black and white images look yellowish to me?

Whenever I see photos or videos of faces in black and white, the irises look slightly yellow to me in comparison to the rest of the face. I think it's a bit more obvious when the skin of the face is more pale and the eyes are darker. Does anyone else see this effect/illusion?
