Is it normal that eye contact feels too intimate for me and sometimes weird ?

In many situations I avoid eye contact ... it depends, sometimes I just feel uncomfortable, but when I like a guy, like for example there is someone, when our eyes meet, I feel that eye contact is...intense, i feel like the person can read my thoughts and knows my deepest secrets. like im exposed and vulnerable to that person.
What do you think about it, have u ever felt like that too? I wonder if there is something mentally wrong with me ?

    A lot of people don't like too much eye contact. But sometimes staring is fun. Make them feel weird instead.

    Aww. There is nothing mentally wrong with you. You're being too paranoid. There is nothing 'too intimate' or that would let people know what you're thinking when you make eye contact. I make eye contact with every single person I've ever had contact with (in RL). There's nothing to be scared of, love.

    I think it's kinda weird to I know when before me and my boyfriend kissed we would look into each others eyes for a little bit the he would lean in to kiss me for some reason I would get nervous there but on the other hand it was really romantic I like it though.

    Haha I feel the same way I'll look them in the eyes look anywhere and everywhere that's not in there there eyes and then back to their eyes. But I hate holding that eye contact, it doesn't feel natural

    Unless I'm very close to someone, eye contact with them for more than a few seconds is always awkward for me. If I'm talking to a stranger or a mere acquaintance I tend to settle for looking over the persons shoulder, onto their forehead or, most commonly of all, just keeping my head down and my eyes on the floor.

    I dislike making eye contact so I sort of stare straight through the person, they often become disconcerted by this.

    This happens to me when I notice that I'm making eye contact and then I feel awkward because I don't know where to look.

    Especially with someone who has like these eye cold blue or green eyes. Sometimes it's hypnotic, though. I always have the worst people in job interviews, with the biggest pop eyes.

    I feel like that a lot because people aren't meant to stare at you in the eyes all the time, that's creepy.

    I think it feels this way for a lot of people. It's very awkward to make eye contact. However, there are ways that you can practice this, so that it won't feel so strange when you actually have to do it. I know that in customer service, it's pretty much required. You also have the option of just looking at their ear, if practicing it doesn't work out for you.
