Is it normal that everytime i drink caffeine i get really bad anxiety attacks?

When I was 16ish i began drinking caffeine filled drinks and it did nothing to me. But now almost 5 years later, everytime I drink ANYTHING with alot of caffeine i freak out and flip shit and the only way to make the anxiety go away is to run for miles without thinking. Is this normal?

I have exactly the same issue, I quit drinking caffeine several months ago when my anxiety got to the point where I need help and I ended up in the hospital several times. I had my first drink of caffeine this Easter because I was with a friends family and they didn't have any caffeine free drinks (I didn't want to be rude). Half a coke and I was in a bad way for two hours. Lay off the caffeine and I promise you will feel better.

Caffeine makes you hyper. Why I never drink it from the donuts shop. Word of wisdom you might like to follow. Try avoiding the caffeine. Stay away from the espresso.

yyyyyyyyyyyyyYeah I have the same problem. Even a can of Coke will unnerve me. I have been Taking WellTabs for 2 weeks now and I noticed a difference the first day.

Caffeine effects me differently, instead I get very sleepy.

How much caffeine is in what you drink? It is possible to get too much. Switch to decaf coffee or black tea.

I'm actually the total opposite. I have crashes just about 10 minutes later after drinking coffee or pop, not all the time but most of the time.

    I like CoverYourEars answer too!

It happens to me too. Even without caffeine. It just happened out of nowhere one night. I've actually been to the hospital because of it. Now I have a prescription for Klonopin. I would suggest to stop the caffeine. If you end up getting attacks even without the caffeine, go see a doctor.
