Is it normal that even though i make comments about my older brother...

...I don't want others to? I'll say things like, "Yeah, he's such a nerd-I think I'm adopted."

I mean this in a sibling way, not truly meaning it. But when my friends say something about him it really bothers me. Now I don't say anything that can be taken negative about him and defend him when they try to attack him but my friends still say crap.

I really care about him and we have a close relationship considering our 3 1/2 year age difference.

Is it normal?

    I mean....It's "normal" but it may not be right. If you really love him and he really loves you, then your comments hurt him more than some stupid friends' comments. You should probably say good stuff about him so that you don't spread rumors or hurt his feelings.

    It's completely normal. I have an older brother who is a complete geek. I call him it all the time, but anyone else calls him one, and I'm on their ass like THAT!

    I do the same thing with my sis, she's 2 years younger and I love her to death...but I'll be honest, sorta slutty, let my friends say anything and I will kick they're ass...

    Yes. When we were kids, my brother and I picked and teased at each other, but we would get into fights defending each other.
