Is it normal that ebt makes me feel ashamed?

I was born here and my mom came here legally with my dad, and we'd been struggling, so we got approved for ebt. I only go to the international store near mike subs where there are a lot of people who are mostly Asian and see people from other countries using food stamps everyday. So I feel they won't judge. And they really don't bat an eye unlike all the sneers and comments I get at regular stores.

There are rich people who were on food stamps in their lives. 3

I chose I don't care, which could mean many things so I will clarify. I don't care that you are using foodstamps in that I don't see that in any way as being reflective of you as a person.

I study a lot how the system is rigged against everyone, and nearly everything about your life economically is determined by where/when you are born, people in my opinion are supposed to be hunter gatherers like every other species on earth, and like humans were for the vast majority of our existence. And 5 million are today.

I don't believe in economic situation as an indicator of status, in how I personally view other people. I hope for your sake alone you have a financial situation you are comfortable with.

Makes me sad that you feel this way! Don't pay attention to those thoughts and feelings of shame. Foodstamps are there to help you. It's a hand UP, not a hand OUT.
