Is it normal that drinking makes me go overboard

It doesnt matter how much i drink. i always seem to go overboard with what i do/say/think .. I've gotten myself in really bad situations by doing or saying shit. I really like going out and having a good time with my girlfriends but i always get into alot of trouble. I still continue to drink every weekend. Is it normal to do that? or should i stop?

alcoholism lies in a variety of factors. Many people are genetically predisposed to addiction. These tend to be your combination alcoholic/smoker/gambler/sex addict. Then theres your binging type, who go off weekly or less and forget how they got to Turkey when they started off at their buddy's house down the street. Then you got your young'ins: kids who drink to get drunk. 21 is the legal drinking age for a reason. The part of the brain responsible for knowing when to quit is fully developed in your average 21 year old. If you think you may be an alcoholic have a look at some of the warning signs:

You are why alcohol has a bad reputation. Your decision to drink isn't up to any of us here. It's your life. If you want control of it, you know what you need to do. If you are fine with your lack of control, carry on. You don't need alcohol to have fun, but it doesn't sound like you are having much fun with it.
