So every time I go to the bookstore after like 5 minutes I am running to the bathroom because I have to shit and there is no waiting to get home as normally can do. It never fails 9 out of 10 times. Does this happen to anyone else? Is it normal?
What else is odd is that this doesn't happen to me when in the library at school... just bookstores!
Natural instincts and all. You're surrounded by the scent of fresh loads of bathroom reading material.
It could be somewhat normal, if you're at the bookstore for hours on end.
It actually is normal, a few months ago there was an article about a woman in Japan who had this happened to her every time she opened a book. Something to go with book binding glue.
Anytime I'm surrounded by old stuff I get the urge to shit - *old* bookstores, garages, antique shops. For me it's the places that collect dust that cause this.
My sister always has to shit when she is surrounded by trees.
Perhaps it has something to do with being relaxed and comfortable?
Do the bookstore you go to have a cafe inside of them? Perhaps, the smell of coffee is triggering your intestinal track to spasm.
Maybe you're so full of shit you need to empty then load with lots of knowledge?
