Iin, that blue repels me?

Ever since I was young, and coming to an end recently, blue was my all time favorite color.

Out of the blue, I found myself being repelled by it and craving warm colors or just any color that wasn't blue. This started with my clothing but, now it's moved onto other things.

For a very long time, my wardrobe mainly consisted of blue, white and black. However, I haven't become repelled to white or black. I can tolerate purple especially, purple-blues, very well.

I did suffer with chronic depression throughout all those years where I adored blue. My repulsion to the color started when I found myself chronically feeling happy for the first time ever.

I was wondering if it were possible that my sudden repulsion to the color could be related to this. What do you think? IIN?

I read as far as "out of the blue." I see what you did there, or was that somehow unintentional?

I see. Well it's good that you're happier now and an interesting coincidence. Maybe it's more than a coincidence. I loved purple when I was a kid but then everyone bought me so much purple stuff I started to hate it. Now it's one of my least favorite colors. I do love purple flowers though.

        • Funny you'd say that because, now I just adore purple. My favourite shade is violet. Then lavender and periwinkle. I'm on the fence about indigo, though.

gasp. how dare you. Blue attracts me. It's my weakness. Blue eyes, lightning ridge black opal, blue wave machine, blue volcano, blue phytoplankton...

Sorry, what was the question? Ah yes. You may very well be right in the reason why it started to repel you. It makes perfect sense

    • Blue was like my significant other. At least I still like this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FlMHdhf0nvE

It makes sense. Why else would I feel such a strong repulsion to something I loved so dearly, seemingly out of nowhere?

Like a magnet, repel? Or repulse? Like disgust. I like Lime Green. Makes me feel happy to see it. That and like a dark Crimson color. Reminds me of my birth... Is THAT Normal? I think that's the new question here. Not too sure about all this now. I don't like Crimson no more............... Nevermind, I can't not like Crimson.

    • It's a mixture of everything you just listed. I'm not sure if I could call what I feel pure hatred but, it just puts me off so much.

I can tolerate it to an extent. There are some shades that I can barely tolerate at all. I'm alright with dark navy especially, as pants, and a few other shades on occasion. I don't mind the dark blue-indigo color for jeans. Or, if there are other colors thrown into the mix. It really depends. If I have the choice of getting another color for something, than I will.

Outside of clothing and bedding, I try to avoid it if I can. It's rare that I'll find an exception.
