Is it normal that as a child, my mom asked for back/foot/hair massages from me?

I didn't think about it much, but yeah, my mom would ask for back/foot/hair massages when I was a kid. She would ask my cousin too. My aunt never asked me, but she asked my cousin too. At about 14, I got sick of doing those things and my mom would get upset that I turned it down, but my cousin kept on trucking. I'm now 23 and he's 21, and he still gives my mom and his mom the occasional back/hair/foot massage when asked. Apparently, this is something my grandpa liked having his kids do, but it never had sensual undertones.

    i do my mum's hair massage and then when she's does mine.

    My mother and sister both ask for them on occasion. It's nothing weird. I just happen to have strong hands which is good for massages.

    holy shit! i did that too! My mom would ask me that when i was a kid. I'm 22 now and she doesn't ask anymore. I use to do that because i felt guilty if i didn't cuz she worked pretty hard to raise me and my brother (she didn't ask my brother) but since i got a job too, i'm not doing that shit anymore. I think it's normal...i think.

    Everyone overreacts these days.... Yeah, your mom wanted you to give her massages, probably because since you were little you were the only one who'd do it without saying no. Not sexual or anything. Completely normal
