Is it normal that after i have a good day, i feel terrible the day after?

For example on Saturday I might be out with my friends having a great time, then on Sunday I'm in tears because Dad snaps at me while I'm driving.

I become stupidly emotional when I'm tired. Could you just be exhausted after having a fun filled day?

    I'm disappointed with your example.

But if dad snapping at you whilst driving upsets you so bad then next time how's about you slam his side of the car into a working combine.

That's the thing, usually it wouldn't upset me at all, or I'd be annoyed but forget about it in a minute or two.

Hmm I was going to say mood swings until you gave such a specific example defining the very reason you'd be having a bad day.

I can be really down and depressed for a day and then deliriously happy and high on life the next day. I've come to realize that I have negative energy inside me that I need to get out before I can feel naturally happy. So I find ways to vent that now so I can be more happy more often.

I've noticed this too about myself. Sometimes I feel really low and like I can't cope at all any more and just lie in bed all day... then the next day I feel absolutely great.

I'm the same! I've always been like this i think, when i was a child i had this empty feeling inside after Christmas/Birthdays etc.

Overal i'm overly sensitive and has a great deal of moodswings too.

I've found life to be like a pendulum; it swings from the good to the bad and back. But usually it is a multi-year cycle, not daily.
Either your environment is the problem (living at home?) or you may be a bit bi-polar, or a bit of both.
If you are young and still go to school, perhaps a visit w/ a counselor would help?

  • No, really having a great time leaves you with a good feeling for days, at least. It helps you deal with those things that might otherwise leave some people upset.

You don't seem to be doing the 'great time' properly.

If you think you'll feel bad after having a blast or a good day, then yes. You'll probably be necessarily unhappy. It may explain why you feel that way. Otherwise it is normal. Everyone has ups and downs in one's life.

You feel terrible because you had fun the day before, or because your dad is mean to you? o.o

My dad isn't mean to me, my family are all great. What I meant was that little things which normally wouldn't bother me (such as someone getting even slightly annoyed or short with me) for some reason trigger a meltdown.
