Is it normal that a girl i like loves to talk to a guy 30 when she's 18

So we are both freshmen in college. I do believe I like her since I really want to be with her alot. what makes me mad is that she chats with this guy who was her old high school's staff. He's like 30ish maybe more, maybe less (min 28 thou). he's not a teacher I heard he's like someone who students talk to about their problems in their dorms. well she's now in college and she still talks to that guy.
tonight, when we came back from library around 9, she said she's going to sleep and so i let her go (we live on the same floor in dorm). later I found out that she's just been talking to that guy for 3 hours and she came to "chill" with us in the basement. She was talking about him the whole time and wasn't talking to me at all. I got mad that she lied and was talking to that guy that when I heard she talked to that guy for 11 hours non-stop before, I went little over and told her it's stupid to talk to him when he's obviously on to her. She said he's her love or whatever and I just left them. She kept talking about that guy while I was leaving and didn't even look at me.
Yes, I am jealous. no matter what I do, she seems to love to talk to that guy and not me. So I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I am trying to find someone else or at least forget about her. Can you guys please help me out?

    Well older men are usually perceived as more mature, as opposed to men around her age. I think you should move on. Do something for yourself and try to forget about her, harder than you already are.

    Yes, my ex left me for a guy that was 36... when she was 18. They are married now having a child soon.
