Is it normal that 99.9% of my crushes are fictitious characters? (18, f)

I'm 22 years old. For the past seven or eight everyone I've had any sort of romantic and/or sexual feelings for has either been a celebrity or a fictional character. Welcome to the team.

There was one girl I knew who was in love with Hamlet from Shakespeare.

I want to thumb this up just because you used the word Fictitious.

It's fine, you're merely out of touch with reality.

You're fine as long as you don't let it interfere with getting into a real relationship.

I'm 31 and happily married. I also have lots of fictional character crushes and my wife is fine with it. In fact, she indulges them :)

I doubt you could find safer, less threatening guys to crush on, than cartoon characters, do you? You don't have to talk to them, hold their hands or be seen in public with them. Safe, secure and one dimensional. Is that how you really want to spend your life? If so, that is so terribly sad, I could cry for you.
