Is it normal such thinking i have?

Im a 25 year old female. in many ways im a kid at heart. but im very clumsy. i will admit im very clumsy. for example, oh gosh where did i leave the keys? i just had them a minute ago!
Things tend to fall when theyre in my posession or break. Somehow, someway, clumsy things happen.
An ex boyfriend once told me I would make a terrible mom. His insult stabbed me to this day it makes me feel bad. Im beginning to wonder if this kind of thinking is normal. I find that I putting myself down whenever something clumsy happens. Like no man is going to want to marry a clumsy woman
guys what do you think is this normal?

    Hey.... story time

I stayed with my aunt for a week befor I relized her oven and stove top were seperate.
I found out because I turned a corner amd ran right into her oven... and was like wtf where did this come from?

All day at my b fs moms I went in and out of the bathroom wondering what was different... finally I asked her...she was like seriously... I walked back in the bathroom and it took me 5 min to realise the shower had no curtain.

Guess what... I am a mom... im a good mom... I just spend half an hour just now playing barbie with my daughter before I sent her off to brushher teeth.
I have a loving bf whom I will one day marry when we have enough money. Ether way we will be together until we die.
    Im clumsy as hell.
but I am an amazing cook. A devoted partner. And a good mom.
so you can be a good mom too

Do you find it that you think alot? With me I have like multiple thoughts running through my head, and that might be why i am clumsy:/ hm idk

  • Yep normal to be clumsy, just cause we make mistakes doesn't mean that we won't amount to anything in life.

I'm a guy and I'm clumsy too, stuff just breaks if I'm near it. Anyways I find it very cute that you're so clumsy.

I think some guys will find it cute that you're clumsy. After all, if you never made any mistakes, not many people would be fond of you or be able to relate to you

Like Terence said, your ex is a jerk.

I am clumsy always was and always will be but like reminiscent said before, I too am a pretty good mother and loyal friend and am willing to help said friends and family whenever needed.

I know that I am so clumsy that it would take 99 out of 100 people to walk along a path with a big stone in it and they would all avoid it and I would be the 1 to trip over it. Being clumsy does not define you as a person. Just accentuate all the good qualities that I'm sure you have.

True story. Once we were helping a neighbor move out, so there we were helping with boxes, and then it just so happened that they handed me some box with expensive china or something

now everyone was walking in a straight line perfect, they told me "walk down there, dont hit the rocks, becareful, DO NOT TOUCH THE ROCKS"

I shit you not, something ordered me to walk straight into the rocks, and of course i tripped, and the box went flying into the air and smash into the floor

point is, looking back, clumsiness happens, i think the OP does not realize how common it is

    Slow down.

i am being seriously most of the time clumsiness comes from doing things to quickly.

Your ex is a big dick head for saying you wont make a good mum.

    • yeah he was. like he once called me a dum dum whilst handing me an actual dum dum (you know those lolipops) he was a jerk. total jerk. dont ever treat a girl like that.

i think ur onto something when you say do things too quickly. often i do. often i think too much and have too many thoughts running all at once.

You're being silly. Being forgetful or clumsy in no way makes anyone bad mom/marriage material. A very good friend of mine often drops stuff and has even spilled drinks on herself(!) Clumsiness entertains me oh so muchly, and I think in a twisted way it makes her feel better that I laugh because she often reports her clumsy adventures to me even when I'm not there to witness them. Yet, I have never even thought she'd be bad marriage/mom material because of the clumsiness.

Forget what the ex said. Be merry! Here, eat an orange *throws an orange to you and waits intently*

    • yeah some people at my work actually find it comical. i laugh with it and play along, but deep inside it does hurt me. i think it was that stupid ex boyfriend who was so verbally abusive that did the most damage. oh well:(

You'll be fine as long as you're not reckless.
    Just be careful.
