Is it normal should i tell my teenagers the reason we are separated

My wife cheated on me a lot in the past couple of years. Because I am not exciting anymore and not attentive or attractive enough.The last straw was my wife and one of her gentlemen friend screwing in our house on my birthday,I was so mad I just left.The kids wanna know why we are splitting up. I am going to counseling. I am not sure how to say it to the teenagers without sounding bitter.I don't want them or the court thinking I am trying to poison them against their mother. Believe it or not I have a very close relationship with both of them. They are 15 and 17 and a half.

    They probably already know and have been keeping quiet. She sounds like a real whore giving it to someone else on your birthday that's terrible

    Do they need the details? Surely all they need to know is the tried & true explanation that you and your mother don't love each other any more and don't want to live together but that you both still love them.

    The sexual activity of their parents is not the business of their teenage children and I'll bet they wouldn't want to know about it anyway.

    How does the court come into it for children of this age? Won't they be living with the parent of their choice?
