Is it normal shelters for the homeless and needy are so dirty?

If you ever set foot in these type of places either for assistance or for charity work you'll know. These places are filthy. I dont understand why the staff would not try to keep these places looking nice. I know they are only housing poor/homeless but there should not be shit stains on the floor and dead cockroaches everywhere.

It might have something to do with how dirty the homeless are...

#1 These shelters are underfunded. There is almost no way to fund them adequately. Keeping those shelters clean would be a full time job for a full time staff and that costs money that needs to go to supplies and hiring the staff to run the basic shit anyway.

#2 The staff who ARE there are usually overworked and doing 10,000 other things that take priority over scrubbing carpets. Yes, there are more important things than cleanliness which is something that most people don't understand until they have been homeless.

#3 Cleaning supplies cost money and run out pretty damned quickly. Once again, there are other supplies that take precedence.

#4 and the shittiest reason to list here but... homeless people are dirty. Some of them can't help it and some of them are just fucking dicks who have no respect for anyone's property.

Most homeless shelters are run by religious organization. Not the government. Do you pull all your facts out of your ass?

They are run by religious organizations, but they get their funding from the government.

And again (as usual) you are wrong. That would be illegal. Not taxed and funded are two different things. Stop making up facts. Fucking stupid 17 year old animal wanker.

Why do you never compliment me when I get things right, and only reply to me when I get things wrong? Why are you so mad at me all the time?

Helping the homeless isn't a priority unfortunately. If it was, there wouldn't be many homeless people at all.

    • We should be preventing people from becoming homeless and just give people jobs.

Some can't work with conventional job hours/schedules due to mental reasons. Labour can be hard if your body can't keep up, and office jobs don't help those with mental issues because it only breeds more resentment. At the end of day you just relapse back to alcohol, or another drug to cope and wake up right back on the street if you haven't killed yourself yet.

        • That is assuming every homeless person is homeless for the reason of insanity. A lot of people are homeless at 18 since mom and dad decided to kick them out. A lot of times has nothing to do with the fact they were crazy. Mom and dad were just assholes. As well as that they have successfully hired retard(Literal meaning) to do stuff like janitorial work. So it is possible to give a person a job who has "Issues". Johnny might believe 2 plus 2 is seven and have the mental capacity of a 13 year old. However you can still teach them something simple.

There is so much wrong with what you're saying, I said that referring to myself. I'm not homeless, but everyone has problems. Everyone harbours resentment, repressing the issue with labels isn't going to help. Our sociological problems derive from the economical maneuvering of commodities. It is a means of supplementing love with a fictitious price tag for the means of the few and not the many. Love is merely pleasing and desire etymologically speaking, which indeed reflects our biological imperative. The strongest being heat, love is not real on a physical level and most people don't have the knowledge to experience it mentally. If we did we would no longer operate on a singular level, rather become a unified neurological network that founded a resource based economy based on the sustainability of our home (earth), and family (famillia, familiar). Through knowledge all should be familiar for all negative feelings are a by-product of misunderstanding/delusion of understanding. Thus why we have so many labels in society. Those kids who are abandoned by their parents are the by-product of a corrupt educational system. Sure those retarded people could be assigned menial task, and you know what it would be beneficial as now they have socialism, physical exertion. However we do not have a proper organisational structure in our society as it is not designed for everyone. Society is designed for a tailored breed of humans, and personally I am not about to adhere to their ideologies. As I am not a slave willing to propagate such a perverse system. However most people would never compromise their positions because they have the false belief of security, and it is too risky. Those who try to break away are denoted as insane, and crazy... A society under duress, we all have a gun pointed to our head and you wonder why people have fucking problems.
