Well a while back! This person whom I got along extremely well with at work, told me she doesn't feel a connection in our personalities. She wrote a rather long message saying to not take it personally, and that I'm a really funny girl but she can't see us having a friendship. I was quite hurt tbh. I was a bit blunt with my message I sent back obviously because I was hurt. 4 months later, I was scrolling through my messages & noticed her dp changed. I noticed she finally reached her goal of becoming a body builder. I had this urge just to say I noticed her pic while scrolling and u look happy and I'm glad for you :) She actually replied surprisingly saying how she really appreciates that, thank u !
Skip forward 1 year from that message. I was sending people (forwarding) Xmas messages to everyone. I forgot to delete her number & sent her one. She wished me a Merry Xmas too. Is this weird? I find it weird she replied 2 times despite not wanting to be friends?

    Either she's being polite, doesn't remember who you are, feels guilty about her previous behavior, or she doesn't have a lot of people to talk to.

    You have two options:
    1. Finally delete her number and move on.
    2. Ask if she wants to try to become friends again.

    My advice is to not make a fuss about her responding back to you. She's probably just being polite so try not to read anything into it.
