What if they have STDs? They might not know they hsve it cause sometimes symptoms dont show. Do I ask them if they are tested?
I really hate the way we scare kids with the threat of STD's. I am not saying we shouldn't educate them on the risks and how to be safe. But sometimes they are used to scare kids away from having sex all together and that is wrong. Here is reality. Most STD's are harmless unless left untreated for years and can be cured with a shot of penicillin. Herpies you will carry for life, but out breaks are few and far between, manageable with medication and fairly harmless. Hepatitis C (which actually results in more deaths than AIDS) is still only found in less than 2% of the US population and is a very manageable condition. The infection rate of HIV/AIDS among the hetrosexual population is very low and transmission from a female to a male during vaginal sex is extremely rare.
Use good judgement, be safe and get tested regularly. But have fun and don't let a fear of STD's dictate your sex life. You have a far better chance of catching a cold than an SDT, and many SDT's are easier to treat than a cold. But people don't go around living in fear of catching a cold or allow it to dictate how they live their lives.
You can ask if they are tested, but suppose they say yes. then what? Ask for a transcript? You are not going to get laid that way. Either trust it or wrap it and hope for the best as condoms don't prevent all STDs either..
