Is it normal people say "see a doctor" over everything.
But if you actually go to a doctor they don't give a shit and just tell you things you could've read off the internet anyway.

People haven't studied medicine and therefore can't give medical advice. The docs can order tests and only they can write prescriptions.
The docs don't do magic and it takes a while before a diagnosis and a proper treatment(hopefully) can be reached.
What If I do see a good doctor? There are some kinds of problems that they just can't do anything about, and if you have to go to a mental health counselors they seem against giving any diagnosis other than "depression", for which they give a list of things to do that I could've just googled honestly. aren't all doctors are like this, or? I mean what else can they really do
If a mental health counselor did that to me, I wouldn't see them ever again lol. And I've been seeing therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists since childhood. They're lifesavers, but they're a very mixed bag. It's about 50/50 whenever I get a new doctor if they'll be one of the good ones, and maybe a 15% chance we'll click.
Damn that'd be nice, they are CBT, they asked some questions but literally they just said I have depression and gave me a sheet of paper with "fun" things to do on it lol. which is nice and all but I don't even think that's the problem
Sounds as if you've found yourself some good excuses for not seeking help.
I have sought(?) help though. I told my GP and they diagnosed me and prescribed pills. I went to the counselor's at uni and they told me some things I already read off the internet, then put me in a group which was fun but now I don't have time for it anymore and I still feel "not right" mentally
