Is it normal people or television saying what i am thinking

Hello,I was recently living at a group home. While there I kept hearing people from my open bedroom, (staff) say things I was thinking, and sometimes heard the televisions in the common areas say things I was thinking. This was happening often. I never had this happen before. I have had some odd coincidences in the past, things like me and my daughter or friends talking and then the t.v. saying a word that we were talking about but not like this.I had a couple of similar experiences since then in pubic places when I was in the restroom but not at my families home. I am on meds for bipolor disorder but have never been diangosed with this previosly. I wonder if the meds can make me have bipolar symbtoms when I am not bipolar? it is strange that these people only blurted out these words when I was not in their presence. I also wondered since this place got paid an astronomical amount from my auto insurance co. and the staff were always on their cell phones when this happened)not talking but playing around) were they able to somehow project things into my head making me think I was hearing them say what i was thinking or somthing? The cable/sattellite system was odd and seemed rigged, could this have been a trick of some kind to keep me there? I know it sounds odd but who knows? Hopefully I will never go back. I will be seeing a new psychiatrist as well, Thanks.

Not a bipolar symptom, but common for schizophrenia.

Trust me the government is evil, but in terms of the individual they are lazy as shit. They would never bother doing something that high maintenance. You are also experiencing delusions, quite strong ones too. The thing is, the variety of topics that come up on t.v are bound to somewhat touch on what you are thinking. I've had it happen to me too a number of times, and I'm a conspiracy nut, and also do sometimes suffer from similar delusions, but I don't really believe them. Never believe any crazy theory you've made up unless there is some real evidence. You should probably let your psychiatrist know you are having these.

You better tell your new psychiatrist about all of these "strange happenings". I'm sure he will be very interested to hear about them.

another thing, when I say other people in the group home got involved, I really truly mean they pick up on this and react by saying somthing that coincides with this, usually one other client, but another client seems to get mad or frustrated with the staff and the system, (internet, phone, tv ect.) He would be angry and actually called them from his computer very pissed off. I know this sounds strange but you would have to be there, for real.

oops I meant that I could here people saying things I thought I was thinking not saying, My original question, was also that I wonder if the bipolar meds or really any meds, as I am very sensitive or intolerant of them, and truly do not think I am bipolar and have not been diagnosed or displayed the symtoms of this diagnosis or illniss, could be causing me to have these problems. I realize people might think, oh she seems to be in denial, because the stigma surrounding mental illniess, or diagnosis cause people to assume this. besides that, tegretol can cause auditory hallucinations. just wondering if someone might have experience in this. I am in a little hurry right now but I can explain further if someone would like more details. thankyou for the replies.

well, first of all I didn't think it was the government, I thought it was somthing to do with these brain injury facilities, and I only think it might be possible that the guardians, casemanagers and facilites may have a way of doing this to keep someone sick, because they make a lot of money, and wan't to keep people. sometimes another client or two will get involved with what is being said. I also think that the medications people in these group homes are taking including me, could help make these things happen. It seems very real. as far as while I was in the restroom at a restaraunt. I could overhear people being very loud, probably drinking, partying saying some of the the things I was saying. not just that I heard them in the bathroom. I can explain more about exactly what happened if someone would like.

Suppose some says "plate" or "shrimp" or "plate of shrimp"?

No explanation. No point in looking for one either.
