Everytime I bring up something about my homelessness, someone says something stupid like "but how can you be online if you're homeless, troll" Like we are still living in the 90s.
People also always assume you are a fat, ugly, virgin, male, if you are online
Dude, I know how you feel. I was a homeless heroin addict for 6 years, I had a laptop, I went to school for networking. I know how to hack WEP keys so I often would use others wifi or just take my laptop to mcdonalds or a local coffee shop. It's ridiculous for these fucking idiots to think you can't be online if you're homeless.
If you're homeless why come to this site? Shouldn't you be looking for deodorant or something?
It's pretty fucking ignorant considering there's free wifi everywhere and devices are super cheap (or maybe you had one before you became homeless, like a lot of people). There's also the library.
People act like you're some kind of homeless fat cat pimp daddy if you access the internet but at the same time they would call you a lazy bum if you weren't seeking/applying for jobs, which is largely done online these days and at the very least requires some way to contact you. You can't win.
People suck. They think they know everything about what someone's going through and will write anyone off for any reason
