Is it normal only white people compliment my hair

I'm black and I have had long silver braids for a few months. I get complimented on it regularly (it happened again just yesterday) but every compliment has only come from white people. Three male and the rest female so far. Usually I'll be in a store or at a restaurant and someone will come up to me and say something like "I just have to tell you I absolutely LOVE your hair!" They'll be raving over it and it honestly surprises me, but it is flattering of course. It just seems odd that the compliments only come from white people and no one else.

It might be culture really. In black neighborhoods its probably considered weird to have silver hair. People in white neighborhood do all sort of weird shit and think its totally cool.

Well that i've noticed people tend to hate on their own race and people tend to be more fascinated with other races. White people have very basic/plain features so they're intrigued by different ethnic features.

Because they're fascinated since it's not part of their culture

I think it's only a coincidence. I'm white, and the last compliment I got on my hair was from a gay black man.

I've seen black ppl with nice hair but I don't say anything cuz I don't know if it's ther real hair and it would be awkward to compliment if it isn't

It wouldn't be awkward in my opinion. The girl bought it and is wearing it to look good. So I wouldn't think there'd be anything wrong with complimenting it.
