I dont understand why but there seem to be this attitude and it often comes from parents as well. Its "If you are younger then me, you are stupid, worthless piece of shit that can never go anywhere in life". This is a bad attitude to have since if you prevent someone young from trying to better themselves, they cant go anywhere. The reason they are worthless is becuase you as an older adult is treating them like garbage for being young. I dont think like a young person who say 13 should be given full rights to a car. However saying you are worthless and wont become anything, how do you expect them to succeed when you tell them to give up? This isnt just to young kids, or teenagers but often people in thier 20s and people treat them like shit for being young. It doesnt matter if they work or try to get work "You are shit for being a young kid". Why do older people hate young people so much and why do they want everyone to fail?

    Every younger generation have to listen to same stories. We will also do when cross 50 or 60.

    It is easy to find stupid old people. They are the ones that compare young people to themselves. Smarter old people compare young people to what they were like long ago at the same age.

    When you find old people like me that time shift our comparisons, you will see that certain patterns emerge. Firstly, smarter old people will note that while young people of today are a bit worse at reading and math, they are far superior at abstract reasoning. Secondly, they will admit that long ago, they were unrealistically idealistic. Comparatively, young people of today have an unrealistic sense of entitlement.

    Also know that some old guys like me can't get it up. It's a pathetic condition. Getting old sucks.

      People of today can't read because we have a bunch of immigrants who we are not making learn English. Schools have also become worse as in they chastise any child who learns "Above schedule". It's not really children's fault, we are pushing them to be stupid. "No! You are not supposed to have the complex reasoning of an adult at 5, go be happy and stupid like a normal 5-year-old". The already dumb ones we dump in classes where they learn 3 grades below level, the average ones we keep at a slow pace, and the smart ones we punish. So it's no wonder students are uneducated. America today HATES EDUCATION! It absolutely despises it. The public school system has been deteriorating for awhile now.

        Yes. Unless you live in a state that is not burdened with foreign language immigrants like Connecticut, South Dakota, Minnesota, or Alaska. These states blow the doors off the National Fourth Grade Achievement test.

    Old people when they were growing up were constantly made to feel inferior for being younger by the generations born before them, so now those same people try making everyone feel bad but all it really does is show how outdated and stuck in their traditional ways they are. The world is changing and old people don't want to accept it.

      So treating someone else like shit fixes you were treated like shit how? Why do people insist on being dicks? I mean I'm nice to little kids. Which is why younger people tend to adore me. Since I don't treat them like they are worthless pieces of shits who need to go jump off a cliff. I'm also nice to teenagers even am rather patient with the ones which are little bitches. I have also been treated like garbage by nearly every person I met in my life. I generally am not that much of a jerk to people. I don't understand how this kind of behavior is excusable under the idea "It's my turn to be an asshole". As well as praised and accepted as "Treating someone younger then you bad" is a good thing to do.

      The millennial generations really are the worst lol, I haven't met a single one yet that didn't think a great, fun, stress free life was just owed to them for some reason.

      That would make sense if those were the people I was talking about. Not the blanket statement "You are (age) so you are a worthless piece of shit". If it was only the "I think im a special snowflake" is one thing but it's basically everyone who is under a certain age.

    On the other hand, you have lots of older people helping younger people. Teachers, counselors, coaches, volunteers, mentors, all kinds of clubs, camps, workshops, charities. There's many, many services for children and young people.

    We make laws meant to protect children, we have programs like WIC and free/low cost prenatal care to promote healthier babies, we try our best to make sure poor children get food. My point is, as a nation the US obviously cares about our children, we do want to see them healthy and successful. Some older people may be mean or impatient with younger people but that doesn't mean as a whole that we don't care about kids. It's pretty insulting to all these older people who work so hard on kid's behalf to act like they don't exist just because 'some' older people say some rotten things.
