I have never understood how and why poor people have much more children. It's everywhere, rom classes to nations. If you're at a loss of food, it's probably not the best idea to create more people that live off that food. So why is it so?
Cuz they have no job or intention of finding one, so they just live on our taxes and lay around the house getting high and fuck all day.
Its not about money or infant death rate!
'Poor' people are generally lower educated and live in substandard conditions.
Birth control and responsible relationships are few and far between.
If you are a 16yo girl living in poverty and your boyfriend shows some interest in you, you tend to go to their house or even have them stay over. Lack of parental skills seems to be directly related to long term poverty.
I am presently in a poorer community. I suppose I am actually poor myself. But I have owned my own house and bought brand new cars and had a very attractive salary (a long time ago now!)
Since being in this community I have seen some pathetic issues (no other word describes it better). Cruelty to animals; teenage pregnancy; parents too stoned or drunk to know where their kids are (not that they even seem to care anyway!); most people in their PJs in the middle of the day strangely gathering on the street (usually when they wake up); family violence (we have actually watched the police come to many neighbor houses nearly every week!)
The list of 'pathetic', poor community, issues is nearly endless, I could write a book. Since most 'educated' and normal working people don't tend to live in poorer areas, it was awakening to experience the REAL truth.
These people are not sitting down and 'thinking' hmm, if we had children they could take care of us! Nor are they thinking that maybe not all will survive! They are seriously 'thinking' nothing at all. They have unprotected sex (the youngest here I just heard last week was 13, she lives around the corner!) They just don't care (you can tell this by the rubbish on their 2Ft high lawns) They have no respect for themselves, or others, or the police, or any law!, or a baby being born!
2 weeks ago my neighbors 15yo had to go to hospital (strangely the doctors advised she needed an operation 6 MONTHS earlier, but they ignored it, VERY abusive in my view) Anyway, the 'parents' asked if I could stay with her in hospital, since they couldn't! Note:
1. She's never stayed in hospital ever before
2. The 'parents' don't work, pretty sure never have. They do have some confusing statements about how the government doesn't help them much!
3. There is absolutely NOTHING they do ever that is important at ALL, plus what is more important than their own daughter?
4. There's TWO parents, whereas I'm a sole dad. Both parents are busy?
5. I work !! That's right, I've actually got a job, most hate me here for it!
My point? (since I've moved off topic)
Poor people generally do NOT think. They seem to be selfish (I'd say this includes everyone in a radius of a mile around me). They 'seemed' to have not been taught about respect or love. I actually had no idea that these areas required learning, I thought that we all just learned it as we got older? Quite obviously not true in the poorer community.
On topic:
These people are at a loss of healthy good food. They couldn't care less on bringing another 5 more children (common around here) into their rubble of a dwelling. I honestly feel its lack of good education and upbringing in EVERYTHING they do.
Oh and one more thing, these poor people are NOT more happier (as we have all pondered on from time to time) They scream and yell and throw things around (strangely generally glass on the road) in their childish tantrums. I truly feel that every one of them is on the brink of mass murder/suicide. Note I know of 2 people, including one teen, who committed suicide in this local area, and I've only lived in this squabble for about 2 years. I seriously must move out, but ironically, presently can't afford to.

Definetly true.......im always saddened when I go through other poor neighborhoods. Knowing theres other kids in my situation having to live through our hellish reality everyday.
Its true. I have no idea how they survive.
I'm a little protective, or in comparison to this area, over protective with my kids.
I always say come home, before it gets dark. Not so for all other children here. Young 10yo girls roaming the streets! (and boys, but I feel 'girl' is more of a concern, in my opinion) I regularly see them pass by my house ALONE late at night (I usually have a smoke outside). And for some reason kids from poorer communities always seem more attractive (this is difficult to explain clearly, but I have noticed that these kids are not ugly, and strangely it always seems to be the rougher the parents the more prettier the child, I haven't actually worked out the physics in this, but I would like others to comment on that, any that's off topic)
So can you imagine as a parent not caring where your young child is late at night? (usually whilst they get drunk and play their music full bore)
Its beyond me. They just DON'T care! And THIS is why we see many things in the news of a child being hurt or lost or something. Next time when a news report comes on, check out the parents (I always do) I'll tell you now, they are lying, yes they may be upset about the issue with their child, AFTER its become national news! Before that they were quite happy locking them in a cage or getting drunk every night!

I UNDERSTAND why poor people have higher birth rates. They don't care (total irresponsibility) if they get pregnant or not pregnant or anything in between, their life remains the same, before during and after!
Traditionally, it's because the poorer you are, the higher the rate of infant mortality. Without the luxury of virtually guaranteeing your children will live and even grow up, pragmatism tends to win out and you have a few extra children to factor against the knowledge that some of your kids are liable to die before their fifth birthday.
Yeah, I sometimes wonder about this too. My grandmother used to say to me; "the rich get richer, and the poor have babies.". Sadly, this seems to be true where I live.
They're poor because they're too stupid to study and get a well-paying job. (maybe they weren't properly educated because their parents were poor and couldn't afford it)
It's that same stupidity that results in them not practising adequate birth control. (stupidity and/or lack of education in both work-related and personal aspects of life)
Needless to say, supporting more children only serves to make them more poor. It's a whole viscous cycle.
The incredibly stupid ones intentionally make more babies for more child allowance. They do not realise that the government grant is only sufficient to keep a child alive and not to raise it properly.
Being rich takes education, which takes time, which leaves less time to procreate.
Me neither. I've also never understood why Russians like celery more than other people group and why the French enjoy tragic comedies over any other type of film.
It boggles the mind.
I thought it was because they needed kids to work on the house and stuff.
And also because a lot of them die... so.. if they only had one kid and tthey died, it would be sad. but if they have like 20, and 10 die, they still have 10 more.

Family is your social security - for example for when you are old - among other things. For all the stupid government/tax bashing in the western world - we take for granted how many of our needs are supported collectively through the state (health, income, education etc.).
he's my opinion...poor people have no money to go out and do anything....so they get bored and the next fun thing to do is what?....you guessed it have sex and some people are really bored...than oops here comes a baby we can't take care of...than there stressed out...hmmmm what's a good stress reliever?...more sex...than oops again here comes another little one so on and so forth...you think people would learn but also take into account when your poor your depressed also and a lot of depressed people drink or do drugs there for not really caring or thinking that hey maybe I should use protection so I don't have babies I cannot afford and guess who gets to suffer for all of those who don't think...the taxpaying citizen and most importantly the unwanted children
They are trashy inconsiderate people. Poor inconsiderate and not very responsible. They are not smart so do not use a condom and wonder"jee why I gotta feed a dumb kid". This ends in abuse and the cycle often continues as they have fucked up the kid.
People who have money when have sex use condom, and are much more worried about money... while porrer people have no condom and have nothing to do... so they make children.
I've lived in poor areas and in well to do areas in California . Kids tend to live the life they see around them , the one everyone they know has . It is the rare person that can break away and aim higher than the people around them. It's hard to be motivated if your hungry & / or scared most of the time. Education is a big key to getting out but the schools in poor areas are lacking in so many ways. Having someone's baby can be seen as a way to show your love or a way to try to hold on to someone. Some boys see getting a girl pg shows the world they are a man . Poverty is a very convoluted problem and birth control or lack of it is just a part of the puzzle that can't be fixed with out taking in to consideration all the other pieces of the poverty puzzle .
In poorer regions the cost of raising a child is minimal since you won't pay for education and unessential stuff. Young children can also serve as an extra pair of hands in the field, so having a large family is beneficial.
Because we are at it like bunnies as we live for the moment not the future which is another reason we are poor.

speaking of poor people. we live in a neighborhood of wealthy muslums and annually they seem to have a dedicated religious day to give food and money and whatnot to the beggars that come by. so with this wave of beggars roaming about, all the cars parked on the street get broken into (even the ones that belong to our ever so giving neighbors) so who knows what goes through a destitute's mind.
they can't afford abortions or are not well educated to understand the different methods of birth control, poor people are usually poor coz they didn't do well in school so couldn't get a good job and so didn't learn how to prevent pregnancy properly because of their poor education. But some people might do it on purpose to get child benefits :/
I feel like poor people have the same amount of children, just at a different rate. It only seems like they're having more children because there's so many more poor people than rich people. This is really only based on my views of the world. I've also read that lower income families have higher birth rates. like many others before me, boredom?
Well LEDC's have high child death rate so they don't live long usualy because of disease etc. Also they can help out with the farming or just bringing money into the house. And lack of contraception.
They can't afford protection and also LEDC's (Less Economically Developed Countries) mostly have religions or practices they believe in that disapproves using protection because they believe you should take what you have been given a.k.a babies.
No offense because it's a stereotype but I've seen it enough to know in many cases it's true. If your living off the government, doing nothing with your life and have all this time on your hands sex is most likely the 1st recreation the lower middle class partake in. Sad but true.
OK what else are they gonna do but go F**k? besides, they have a higher disposition to be dumb, so they don't see the consequences of extra mouths to feed until it's too late (or as Lao Tse would say, they are incapable of learning by mere reflection)
Poor people like to fuck too much. They don't know how to use protection, and even if they could, can't afford it.
