Is it normal not to have friends at school

I've gone to a new sixth form where everybody knows each other. I've talked to a few people but they have their own groups of friends so I wouldn't want to push myself in hanging out with anyone.
I actually feel more frustrated than lonely ... how on earth do you make friends? The general internet doesn't help; "go to the gym" was one nonsensical option - I already go, and I'm flocked with friends (!).

well its ok unless you call your own self a loner..... i also have the same thing before and it feels so bad... just do something a hobby for example to lean on your self... make some business.... don't make some friends just let them go with you.. talk with you.... i think the reason why is that is because 1. your a transferee like me, it seems like they well never talk with you because your new. 2. bad attitude, they will never go with you if you have a bad attitude.3 the invironment/ the place i think... they place where you or they belong it happens to reflect you attitude or with them 4. maybe your just shy talking with them.if they tell a joke just jive on it and tell jokes too.. this will help. and lastly you may check(i mean this to every one)check your smell bro.... many people happens to check peoples smell,, and actually i also do it....

    hope i help you.... :D

    • It's the same thing.
From what I know, I doubt it's my kind of humour, but thanks for the recommendation.
