Is it normal nobody wears hats anymore?

If you watch videos from a hundred or seventy years ago, nearly everyone wore hats. Women men and kids. Now the only hats you really see are baseball caps or winter hats. Maybe a few cowboy hats but walking down a street way more people don't wear them. I was wondering if anybody can speculate why hats went out of fashion and why?

    I would guess it had a lot to do with being outside a lot, status, occupation, etc... and now I dunno. Everybody's changin and I don't feel the same.

        hoodies nowadays are associated with gang culture. people wearing hoodies are automatically perceived as being low life degenerates. look at what happened to Trayvon Martin.
