Is it normal no milk makes it hard to add on calories?

I cant eat milk products. However milk products are fat, and help pack on calories. If I dont eat milk products I eat a ton of meat. I cant really digest pasta either as it really messes up my digestive tract. Products like cheese depending either give me severe diarrhea or give me constipation. I am very light, and only weight 110 pounds. I burn calories very fast. How do I balance out my diet where I stay at a healthy weight, but can still have a lot of calories? I can eat a 32 ounce steak and still be starving after. I really hate this!

You don't need dairy to get fats; it's actually a bad source...and so is fatty meat. You should stick to lean protein; it's better for you...and healthy fats, like nuts, avocado, olive oil, omega 3...you can increase calories through healthy carbohydrates too. Beans are good fiber wise, and have protein too keep you full...steel cut oats, quinoa...now I'm just blabbering

YEs dairy is bad for you and no fun for cows either. I approve of the above post

If calories are your only concern, concentrated carbohydrate sources are in abundance. If pasta is no good, try other varieties of grain. Rice and beans would both be good food choices for you. If you're looking to incorporate more fat into your diet, consider olive or canola oil.

  • So everyone knows I am not trying to find a replacement for milk. I do not adore milk or really drink it that often. I am trying to find something with the same calorie intake and as heavy and filling as MILK is and milk products are. Like Cheese for example which are made from milk not almonds. Please people stop pushing your "Pro milk alternative" agenda since I really dont care. Its not relevant and has nothing to do with the original post.

Milk does NOT do that all that much and I drink a lot of lactose free milk.
