Is it normal my top lip started peeling from too much kissing?

I was kissing this guy for a fair but the other day... His facial hair stubble is kind of pretty sharp.... It caused my top lip to peel in a weird way and my chin was also very dry/flakey. Is this normal?

Did we just kiss too much?

    whisker burn, yes, it happens. You can google how to treat/prevent it.

    Damn. I guess you could try to offset it by putting on some lip moisturiser. Shea butter is really good for that.
