Is it normal my sibling becomes so violent so quickly?

Its kind of odd. They seem to get overly worked up over things. Like they will be angry and frustrated when someone on another part of the globe is in a tsunami. If someone disagrees on basically anything they will have a violent outburst.

Its kind of like they have a lot of little triggers to issues that are not really something to become explosive too. I mean I get being upset but exploding since a tsunami hit a place we dont even live on? What does this mean?

I mean its not like we can do anything for these people, its incredibly sad but seriously what is us being huffy about this crap going to do for us or anyone?

I tend to see a lot of sad things all the time, but I dont react this way. However I had to train myself to remain calm always since I was everyone's shoulder to cry on and the helping hand. So I tend to have a lot of resolve for this type of thing. I mean its sad but isnt that just how life is sometimes? I also tend to be in situations where I am abused in several cases but I dont ever react so explosively. I dont understand how people can react so strongly to this type of nonsense.

He would make an excellent religious fanatic. He needs a holy war.

Seems like you are having tsunamis of your own.

Ask the person to identify what is really bothering them. Encourage them to keep it private and don't ask them to share it with you unless they want to. It seems like the person is very frustrated about something but is deranged, and so instead of dealing with whatever s/he is frustrated about they're taking it out on irrelevant matters (that's called being deranged).

Don't tell them that they're behaving deranged. Just try to steer them in the right direction and help them work it out.
