Is it normal my parents never said my boyfriend is attractive/good looking?!?!

My boyfriend to me is a 10/10 but I think he's like that to others as well because when we go out, people try to flirt with him and girls get embarrassed in front of him/blush easily. It's just something I noticed and one of his male friends came out and said he liked him and was bi a few months back. He even had a girl who he was friends with for 9 years who was engaged to be married come at him so he broke off their friendship.

Anyway, I've been with him a year and not once do my parents ever say, "your boyfriend is a good looking guy" or even any sort of compliment about how he looks good. Because they never said anything yet, I always assume they think he's unattractive or ugly which doesn't make sense at all to me.

IIN?

I doubt they think poorly of his appearance. but perhaps they do. who knows. maybe ask them about it. My family doesn't say anything about my girlfriend and they do that out of respect. It was weird to me at first but I kinda understand where they are coming from now. My dad told me that he wouldn't make comments about appearance, be it good or bad, because what matters is only my feelings on the matter. And I after awhile a grew to appreciate that extension of respect and feeling of maturity that gave me.

My parents never commented to me on the appearance of a girlfriend I've had, and I wouldn't have expected them too. I think they imagined that the age difference would make it inappropriate for them to say anything. I wouldn't think anything of it.

My parents has never said anything about my dates/boyfriends looks unless I have asked them. I know they aren't into the same kind of looks as I am anyway so it's nothing that bothers me.
Why would you need their appreciation anyway?

It's probably normal. Due to the age difference and your relationship with him, they probably feel it's inappropriate to comment on his appearance. What really matters is whether you find him attractive.
