Is it normal my neighbor always looks his window with his cat

He doesn’t look at me per se, but he’s always looking out his upstairs window with his cat. I think he talks to his cat.

I’ve never noticed him looking at me but I think it’s weird.

He’s 27, nice but reserved and I think autistic. Every time he hears a firetruck he runs out of the house.

Meh. He's probably just enjoys looking out the window. Nothing abnormal about it.

Looking out of the window with the cat is something every cat owner do.

What is strange about that to you? I'm genuinely asking because there was one time I was looking out my 3rd story window and one neighbor on the ground started yelling at me "Mind your f*cking business!!" and I wasn't even looking at him. But when I did as he was yelling, he gave me the finger. Another time I was looking out the window of the rail line in my city, and a random guy on the platform gave me the finger, even though I wasn't even looking at him per se, I was just looking at all the people. I don't get why some people are so angry if you so happen to glance at them.

Today I asked my cat what she was looking at because she was staring out the window. So I tried to find the source of her curiosity but saw nothing. But I still enjoyed the view for a minute.

He's probably just talking to the cat asking it what it's looking at. I'm ok with that. I do it too,and I am not on the spectrum...just a wacky chick who prefers the company of animals over people.

I live in a 500 sq ft apartment. Theres not a lot to do for my cats. Looking at passing cars is about the most interesting thing that frequently happens.

That being said the 500 square feet is being well utilized, my cat loves to climb onto the overhead cabinets and survey the appartment from above. So you could arguably bump it to 700 square feet if you include all the surfaces the cat can climb on.

I totally get that from a cats perspective, and 500 square feet is pretty limited. My family has always had a dog or two, but never cats. I got a kitten that grew up with my 2 pitbulls and he is the epitome of awesomeness, he's 4 and a half now to be precise, and I enjoy every moment with him. And as cats do, they like to survey their surroundings and also like to try to be the boss of everything. Its hysterical

He probably chills with his cat to reduce stress, it’s very normal. I have a sister who still runs to the window if she hears horses outside at 24, the heart wants what the heart wants.
