When I was thirteen, I went through my closet and took out all the clothes that i didnt want. My mom wanted to throw them all away. They were all in perfect shape. I kept asking her to give it to the homeless but she didnt want to. IIN?
Did she give you any reason for not wanting too? good on you for thinking such a thing and boo to her for saying no
I believe this is normal but it's not productive. There can be quite a few reasons why she didn't want to donate to the homeless -
1) She fears them. There are some homeless people who develop mental problems and don't know how to approach people properly.
2) She dislikes them. There are a lot of people who don't associate with the homeless because they might see them as uncivilized.
3) Laziness. Not feeling the need or feeling it's more trouble then it's worth.
For whatever reason your mom didn't want to donate to the homeless, I'm not sure. You have to ask her about that and find out. Hopefully you can help her to resolve whatever issue she might have with the homeless.
I always donate to good will and homeless shelters.
I think of those who have it worse than i do.
there is always somebody out there in the world that has it worse than you or i do!
Your mother should donate! throwing int he garbage is waste of material,etc
anyways that is kind of sad your mom doesn't think there are others more unfortunate out there who could use the unwanted clothes or items. if you have a car or license or have a friend who has a car-ask sommeone to help you bring it to good will with you:)this way it won't go in the garbage next time!
A homeless man should never get anything unless they deserve it. It's basically giving trash to trash. If they worked for me or helped me then they deserve something besides a thank you. Doing this for the ones who just sit there asking for money is just as bad as not helping one. If they don't help themselves helping them is just a waste because they wont learn anything from freebies. There are homeless people who deserve things and many more who don't and get them instead and they still don't do anything.
This "rant" is all for the homeless who just sit there ,not all homeless do.
