Is it normal my husband gets upset after seeing me eat something unhealthy

My husband is a health nut and I weigh 140 llbs. I am 5'5", everytime we eat out and I choose something fried, my husband throws a hissy fit and tells me how unhealthy it is.......like I care.....he then tells me that I am going to have all these health problems later on in life.....won't we all? It's not like I can live forever. Is he controlling or is there something wrong with me?

He is such an ass, we want to start a family and the asshole said that I am going to give birth to a "retard" baby because my diet is terrible

Divorce him and marry me, we can have chicken and waffles every night for dinner.

No, I don't believe in divorce, we made our vows, I love him deeply, he has his flaws and I must live with them.

He's right to be concerned but I think he's being a bit controlling. How often do you eat something fried or something else like that?

      2-3 times per week

That doesn't sound too bad. I think he needs to know he doesn't control you, but he should also know that you are glad that he is at least concerned but that you also need to have a break once in a awhile.

YES, he's controlling and you need to put him in his place. Many octogenarians and people even older have eaten fried foods and other things the health nuts consider "unhealthy" all their lives. With all the additives, preservatives and pesticides in food today, it's doubtful one food is any more, or less, healthy than another. If you consumed saturated fats every single day at every meal, possibly, you could develop arteriosclerosis that could lead to other problems, but ordering fried foods when you go out isn't going to hurt you.

BTW, is your husband also an exercise freak? If so, remind him that exercise also takes its toll on the body because excessive exercise produces what are known as free radicals, i.e., “angry” oxygen atoms that are missing an electron. These angry atoms float through the body, wreaking havoc as they attempt to “steal” electrons from other cells. As this occurs, the cells in the body are damaged, which also damages the cardiovascular system. This is the reason runners and other exercise freaks often die relatively young.

In the end, how long a person lives depends more on genetics than anything else.

Your information is incorrect, people who exercise regularly and eat right live much longer and look better into their old age.

Yeah, that's why all those joggers and other health nuts are always dropping dead in their 50s!

You are absolutely right, unfortunately if my husband were reading this right now, he would discredit everything, oh well, it's his loss

That is not cool and you shouldn't put up with it. Tell him to shut up, then eat 6 donuts.

Oh my gooodddnneesss that must be annoying. If he's going to be immature, you might as well do it back. Make up some annoying thing you can do to him like... Freaking out every time sleeps in a certain position cause it's bad for your back.. or when he wears shorts cause the suns bad for your skin.. or hats make you lose hair. Something dumb that you can super annoy him with, and when he asks you to stop... start negotiating on the food thing

He's a health nut n that makes you want to live more on the edge :p Eating fried things once in a while ok. We need to satisfy our cravings once in while. Tell him you appreciate his concern but you he's being controlling.
