Is it normal my grandmother is 160 years old?

That's right. According to my Grand Mother, she's 160. She says she was born in 1854 and told us that she's actually my Great grandmother and is my father's grandmother, not mother. She says his Mother died a long time ago and that she took over as the Mother. That if we check her birth certificate, they'd see. We tried to find it but can't..that's strange but doesn't mean a thing! She tells us all about the mid 1800s and how life was..she uses words and phrases from the 1800s and talks about her Mother's life in the late 1700's...

She was born in 1854. But her mother remembers the late 1700s. So her mother didn't give birth to her til she was in her late 60s early 70s. Oh and she is 160 fucking years old. Makes sense.

  • The oldest person on record was in their 120's. Very few people have lived that old.

There have been claims of living longer which seems possible but rare. They often didn't have birth certificates in the 1800's but 160 is way over anybody's claims even.

If I am remembering correctly some of world's oldest people have surpassed the western world's 102 years old. In China, there's a mountain where the locals grow bitter melon or Jiaogulan aka "Immortality Tea". These people are among the longest living in the world. I don't know where you live, but you can try to get her tested for her age. The results will hopefully hit the media and finally western people might just be more open to this concept.

ImmortaliTEA is a catcher name. Hits that 18-34 demographic which is so coveted in the marketplace.

Moreover, 102 is nowhere near the record for the western world.

Sometimes I think you just say shit and really have no idea if it's right or not.
