My girlfriend likes to watch a lot of horror and murder-scary shit. I really, really, don’t like that kind of stuff but I watch it with her anyway. She had me watch this scene from American Horror Story where everybody took turns firing nails into this guys head and he was alive for a long time just all conked out. It scared the shit out of me and it made me feel ill and uneasy, I can’t sleep after watching that shit it keeps me up at night.

I told her I really didn’t want to watch anymore horror and gorey movies/shows with her and she just made it seem like a was a pussy for being scared of it and that its “just a movie”

I just really hate gore and torture and horror, its scary its gross and I don’t think that makes me lesser because I don’t like it.

    I'm with Nick on this one.

    I've never found torture, gore and death amusing or entertaining.

    It sounds like you have a lot of empathy, whereas the way she demanded you watch something you found disturbing indicates that she's lacking in empathy, not only for fictional characters, but for people she supposedly cares about.

    Tbh, I actually enjoy gory stuff once in awhile. Also she probably called you that because of how much she likes it and didn't consider your feelings. Maybe just say to your girlfriend to watch that stuff on her own.
