So me and my friend go to the gym together. He has the car and takes us both. But asks me for the petrol money there. Is this his responsibility or am I just being selfish?

    If he makes you pay for it all, he's being selfish. If he's asking you to help him out with paying he's in the right.

    How often does he ask? I would pay once in a while if I'm being driven around a lot but I think it's rude for him to ask upfront all the time, especially since he's not going out of the way to drive you. You guys are going to the same destination.
