Is it normal my friend isabella loves rose?

OK so long story short it happened when I was going to get flowers for my gf and asked Isabella which ones to get. Then she starts ranting about roses, even saying she wants to change her name to Rose Isabella (keeping her name but as her middle name; she doesn't have one) and I mean she carries at least one rose with her everywhere she goes. Maybe it's a reminder; maybe she believes in miasma.
is it normal to be this obsessed with a flower?
