Is it normal my friend got someone else's phone number

Is it normal that he didn't throw it out despite having a girlfriend? My friend isn't the manliest man, he works in retail and got a gay man's number who had been in his store - he asked me not to tell his girlfriend (who is a mutual friend of ours) because he had been hit on by a gay man right in front of her before. Is it normal for him to have kept another man's number with no intention of telling his girlfriend?

He sounds bi curious or perhaps even latent. That guy's hiding something.

You're only as sick as your secrets.

    • That's what I thought. Nothing against anyone's sexuality but I can't seem to fathom why people use others as a "cover". Only time will tell!

Exactly, I think it's cruel and disrespectful for someone to use another person essentially as a prop to perpetuate their charade of a life.

it is normal to be not sure of your sexuality at one stage in life so it would be normal to want to hide that fact until you are sure. He should have told her what happened but it is a normal reaction to try and hide that sort of information when you are not sure about it.

I do not know this girl so i can not type for sure however in the case she is overly jealous type then it would be best not to mention it just to prevent unneeded stress.

May they are just good friends and he is scared that his girlfriend is gonna be all judgemental.

Or maybe he is scared that his girlfriend will go up to the gay guy and say "HANDS OFF MY MAN BITCH!"
