Is it normal my dad used to encourage me to make my mom angry?

I remember back when I was a kid and my parents were still married my Dad used to encourage me and my friends to do things to make my Mom angry.

For example my Mom hates fireworks and anything fire related and he would encourage us to set fires and shoot fireworks at the house. We would pull all kinds of pranks on my Mom and as I got older and my parents relationship deteriorated my Dad would encourage this behavior even more.

I remember he used to just throw his beer cans across the room when he was done with them and it would make Mom so mad.

One time when I was a little kid my Dad got me in trouble because he was draining the car oil into Moms pots and pans and I told Mom what he was doing because I knew that wasn't healthy but I got in a lot of trouble as a lesson for tattling.

My mom encouraged some strange things as well such as sneaking into movie theaters.

    Often, parents want to be known as 'fun' , especially dads. My dad never helped my mom around the house, and would also take us out to do fun things and make jokes and spend all the time with me and my brother and sister. Your dad probably has a different way of 'fun'. My dad left me and my family on my 9th birthday (What a great birthday!). And I remember that the months before that happened he would do that a lot more, to make my mom jealous. So it isn't normal, but other people have been through it too.
