Is it normal my coworker said this to me?

I was at work, we were just talking about the weekend, he asked me how my health condition was/if it was improving and how the doctor was treating me, I said "No improvement yet unfortunately but now I'm seeing two guys" and he said "wow, two guys, hey I don't mind you seeing another guy" and smiled.

I was tired so I didn't smile back and I actually didn't even get if he was flirting at the time or not and just said "yeah" and laughed once and awkwardly walked away.

Is this flirting or just being a silly goon at work? We're work friends I suppose but not close as we only work together once a week.

I'm not interested in him as he isn't my type but was just curious what others think.

Is this normal playful behavior between male/female coworkers or is this more than just playful behavior?

    It would be hard for me to make any judgements on this guys comment without seeing body language. Anyway if you're not into him just in brace the awkwardness.
