Is it normal my cousin wanted to wish me a happy valentines?

We always play and tease around.
To others it could look like we are being flirty I guess because we are touchy feely & always laughing. Tonight I was talking to her on the phone and I joked around that she was cheating on me as she told me she went out with a friend for dinner on valentines day. She said she was going to wish me a happy valentines but thought its bit inappropriate. I said oh really? Yeah, I was going to do the same but wasn't sure and just laughed it off. We are both female. Do you think she thinks it's inappropriate because she secretly may have feelings for me? I mean, why would she say that ? If she really just meant it to be playful then ud think she wouldn't think its inappropriate right? I only didn't wish her one because im pretty sure I have a crush on her so I'm paranoid she will find out.

    You're overthinking things. Wishing someone 'Happy Valentines' is just a sincere statement of wishing you a good day - on Valentines.

    I mean you guys are cousins so she may think it's weird she might have a crush on you too but decided it's too weird to act on. Or maybe she doesn't know how she feels about you. Idk you guys should hang out in person and maybe see where it goes

      Thanks for your comment! Appreciate it :) Yeah we hang out every weekend with my sis except not last weekend. Try and distance my self as my feelings are pretty intense when I'm around her.
      She text me a week later & I got the feeling she was disappointed we never caught up.

    Lame. Spanish people wouldn't have this silly problem they say "have a wonderful day of love and friendship" yeah that's what they call it.

      You all taking this the wrong way.
      Did you not read everything I wrote?? I specifically asked WHY does she think its a bit inappropriate to wish me a happy valentines day? Its of course all the lead up of our interactions with each other that could indicate she has romantic feelings there. We are typically playful, touchy feely type with each other. We talk 24/7 ever since we met which was over 2 months ago. On the phone we talk for hours. I'm just trying to say that she could secretly feel the same because otherwise she would have so easily text me a happy valentines without any worries of it being inappropriate because in her mind she would purely be kidding.

        If you can edit your post, include that there to make it easier.

        I can't vouch for her having romantic feelings towards you, considering that she didn't take you out for Valentines and went with her friend instead.

        She could've thought it rude to say happy valentines to you in case you were single.

        Yes, OP. The above is still valid. I'm sorry to have directed it at you. I should've directed my whole above previous comment to your cousin. Your cousin is abviously giving it a higher emphasis and meaning than a "happy valentine's day" usually is warrented.

          I never said it was a proposal and like I said- For the second time you can't read properly ! Did I say she wished me a fuking happy valentines day? No!
          I clearly stated that she said she was going to but thought its bit inappropriate. The whole point of my fuking story is the fact she thinks its inappropriate thus, imo it could mean she has feelings for me. Otherwise why the fuk hesitate to wish happy valentines when its a simple greeting
